New CEO at Mapal Inc.

Sidney Pimenta Paiva took over the management of the US subsidiary Mapal Inc. on April 1, 2018. Rene Kristensen had been acting as CEO (Chief Executive Officer) on an interim basis until then. Kristensen remains COO (Chief Operation Officer) of the subsidiary.

The 60-year-old Paiva, who also directs the fortunes of Mapal do Brasil, joined Mapal in 1997. He successfully built up the Brazilian subsidiary Mapal do Brasil and continuously developed it further. Before joining Mapal, the technician, who is fluent in four languages, worked in various companies as a managing director or in a position of responsibility. Paiva intends to use his many years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the American market as a whole to broaden Mapal Inc.'s presence in the USA and increase its presence in individual market segments. kp
