IT infrastructure modernized with Dell
Performance now forte-fortissimo
C. Bechstein, manufacturer of upright and grand pianos, has modernized its IT with systems from Dell Technologies. As a result, the long-established company, founded in 1853, is equipped for the future and optimally prepared for the further growth of its ERP system.
C. Bechstein has renewed its entire IT infrastructure with solutions from Dell Technologies. The company has implemented several Power Edge R740 rack servers, storage systems from the Power Vault and Power Store series and network switches from the Power Switch series, replacing its outdated systems that had reached the limits of their performance and capacity.
High performance makes you fit for the future
C. Bechstein's new IT infrastructure now offers massively increased performance and enables the company to effectively manage the ever-increasing volumes of data. The servers used are specifically designed for the fast processing of computing loads thanks to a perfect mix of accelerator cards, mass storage and computing resources. The storage systems enable C. Bechstein to adapt flexibly to increasing data volumes and support uncomplicated and reliable backups.
All departments have access
C. Bechstein uses the new infrastructure to operate its ERP system and back up its data, among other things. The company plans to further expand this already business-critical application and make it the central system for the entire Group. In future, all departments at the Berlin headquarters will have access to it, as will the two factories in Seifhennersdorf in Saxony and Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic, as well as the 22 sales centers in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic.
