Long-term growth
Flexco invests in new building in Rosenfeld
Flexco is investing in the future at its Rosenfeld site with a new building. The new building will house production and administration, while the approximately 27,000 square meter site also offers sufficient potential for long-term expansion.
Construction work is due to start at the end of August. The planned new building will provide Flexco Europe with almost 8,000 square meters for production and around 2,400 square meters for administration. "We are expecting further growth and have enough potential for long-term expansion with the new building and the site," says Managing Director Jörg Schairer. The company currently employs 65 people. The new building will provide modern workplaces for more than 100 people.
Flexco manufactures splicing systems, belt scrapers and maintenance and installation tools for conveyor belts, which are used in the cement and mining industries, laundries, the filter belt industry and the food industry, for example. In the new building, Flexco will not only continue to manufacture its traditional products, but will also expand its production capacities and extend its range of premium solutions - for the cement and parcel industries, among others. What's more: "Our products will also meet the requirements of the Internet of Things in the future. We will soon have much more space available for the development of these future-oriented products," emphasizes Schairer.
Flexco Europe is part of the internationally active Flexco group of companies based in Illinois/USA. Rosenfeld is both the global production site for part of the product range and the sales office for continental Europe, North Africa and Russia and its neighboring countries. "With this investment, our parent company is placing great trust in us," says Schairer. The Managing Director is very satisfied with the town of Rosenfeld and the authorities, who were open to all concerns from the outset and found an optimal solution for the company with the property. This is because it offers a good infrastructure with direct access to the highway. The move is planned for the first quarter of 2020. as
