New building
Topping-out ceremony for new head office in Leinfelden
Euchner celebrates the topping-out ceremony for its new main building at its headquarters in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. This marks an important step in the family-owned company's construction project, which will provide more space for further growth. The first workstations should be ready for occupancy in fall 2023.
Euchner has been on the road to success for years. A new building complex is currently under construction at the company's headquarters to ensure that there will continue to be sufficient space for creative thinking and sustainable production in the future. With the topping-out ceremony on Friday, September 23, 2022, the specialist for industrial safety technology has reached an important milestone for its latest construction project, which combines economic and ecological aspects. "With the new building, we are establishing a more modern working environment and at the same time creating the conditions for sustainable growth," says Managing Director Stefan Euchner.
The commissioned architects Mühleisen + Partner from Stuttgart succeeded in elegantly combining old and new: The new building consists of two parallel wings that directly adjoin the existing administration and production building. A floating steel bridge, equipped with attractive meeting rooms, connects the two wings.
On 17,000 square meters, Euchner has created around 225 office and 100 production workstations, a new company restaurant and numerous seminar and training rooms for conferences and further training for customers, business partners and employees. Euchner invested a total of more than 35 million euros in the new building at its main site.
Sustainable energy management
Euchner attaches great importance to building sustainably: A photovoltaic system with a peak output of 210 kilowatts will produce electricity for the building's own needs on the roofs of the KfW Efficiency House Standard 70 buildings. The waste heat from a highly efficient combined heat and power plant will support heating in winter and cooling the rooms in summer via an absorption chiller.
For Managing Director Stefan Euchner, the new building is also a clear commitment to the region: "Leinfelden has already proven to be an ideal location for us, and we see the ideal conditions here for the consistent further development of our company and our products." Euchner traditionally celebrates the topping-out ceremony with all the companies and trades involved in the construction with around 150 guests.
