Metal bellows coupling

Blind mounting

Modern designs are becoming increasingly complex and must be designed to save space. For many parts of the drivetrain, the only remaining option for integration is blind assembly.

To support the design engineer in his concept and the fitter on site, drive specialist Enemac has the EWM metal bellows coupling in its range. It consists of two individual parts; the longer side consists of an aluminum hub that is connected to a stainless steel bellows. A centering collar with a conical groove is located at the free bellows end; the shorter side consists of the second aluminium hub and a conical driving lug. This collar guarantees exact alignment of the two hub halves. Blind assembly is time-consuming and cost-intensive; with the EWM, up to 80 percent of assembly time can be saved, and in series applications, assembly can be simplified even further by using a fitting ring. The coupling is fitted onto the motor before the motor is installed and then simply "driven together". pb
