Network for parts and powder handling
Overcoming weak points in the SLM process
The companies assonic Dorstener Siebtechnik, Solukon Maschinenbau and ULT have founded a network for efficient parts and powder handling in additive manufacturing.
Together, they want to offer an integrated solution for automated parts and powder handling in the SLM (Selective Laser Melting) process.
The solution from the company network under the name AM Powder Plus (AMP+) combines the collection, sieving, preparation and drying of excess powder in the SLM process with the automated removal and depowdering of components so that they can be transferred cleanly to post-processing. Unexposed powder is fed back into the production process ready for processing. The network is presenting itself for the first time at Formnext.
