3D scanner for the additive manufacturing industry
Creaform is presenting the next generation of its portable 3D scanners Handy Scan Black and Go!Scan Spark at Formnext.
The mobile scanners can be used to transfer physical workpieces into a CAD model. The various product design steps, i.e. 3D scanning, 3D data processing, 3D printing and iterations of the 3D workpiece, which can be rescanned, take place in a loop until the final design is determined.
3D scanners can be used to design objects with organic shapes and a specific signature that cannot simply be modeled. Additive manufacturing then makes it possible to process parts that could not previously be produced.
