Rotary clamping lock
Locking doors and flaps
With the GN 5630 twist-lock clamp, standard element manufacturer Ganter has added a new component to its range of locking devices that combines many practical functions in one element.
The standard parts specialist Ganter is presenting a new product for locking doors, flaps and hatches: the GN 5630 twist-and-lock fastener. It is operated in two steps using an ergonomic, powder-coated T-handle in black or gray. The locking element is primarily used in the commercial vehicle sector or in industrial plants.
When the T-handle is folded in or out, a stroke of 5 mm is triggered on the rotary bolt, for example to achieve the contact pressure required for a door seal. When folded out, the T-handle can be turned to the left or right so that the rotary bolt moves 90° behind the flap or door, allowing it to be opened. The rotary bolt can be flexibly adjusted to frame thicknesses between 13 and 75 mm, depending on the application. The two-stage movement sequence ensures vibration-proof locking.
To secure the tension lock, the handle can be locked in the folded position using the key supplied. The design of the lock housing also allows the T-handle to be additionally secured with a padlock. The polyamide lock housing is supplied by Ganter with four injection-molded bolts including the corresponding nuts, which enable almost flush installation in the mounting cut-out of the door. In addition, the housing is equipped with a permanently integrated silicone seal and therefore achieves protection class IP65 and is therefore optimally protected against the ingress of dust and water.
