Torwegge presents FlexO rollers

Visitors to the FMB - Supplier Fair for Mechanical Engineering can expect another product innovation at the Torwegge stand this year: the FlexO rollers.

The components are characterized by numerous customization options. Although they are manufactured in small quantities according to customer requirements, the conveyor technology specialist offers them at a reasonable price. From October 12 to 14, 2022, interested visitors can find out how this is possible and for which applications the rollers were designed in Hall 20, Stand D39 at the Bad Salzuflen Exhibition Centre. Torwegge will also be presenting other products such as HSK wheels, which can be used in temperatures ranging from -25 to 250 degrees Celsius.

"We are always proud when we can present new developments at the FMB. We embody the innovative strength of the Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL) region, where Torwegge is at home," says Frank Hilbrich, Managing Director of Torwegge GmbH & Co KG. OWL is one of the strongest economic regions in Germany and one of the leading technology locations in Europe. Many of the companies based there are operating in an increasingly sustainable and climate-neutral manner, cooperating with the scientific community and thus creating the conditions for continued strong economic development. The regional GDP of more than 75 billion euros annually and the many product innovations made in OWL prove that this works.

One of these can be seen at the Torwegge stand at this year's mechanical engineering supplier trade fair. "Less than a year after the market launch of our FlexO rollers, demand is already very high," says Hilbrich. He explains this with the unique selling point: the conveyor rollers have a modular design so that they can be produced in small quantities more cheaply than with other manufacturers. The wheel body is made of durable polyamide and can be fitted with different ball or plain bearings. Various axle hole diameters as well as different degrees of hardness and load capacities can be selected. The components can be used both in roller rails and in user-specific designs. Thanks to the high degree of adaptability, the application sectors and areas are diverse.

In addition to the FlexO castors, Torwegge presents other wheels and castors as well as castor rails. One example is the HSK wheel series. The product range, which is designed for environments ranging from -25 degrees Celsius to 250 degrees Celsius, has a high load capacity of up to 220 kilograms and is durable. "There are only a few wheels that are so temperature-resistant and can carry such heavy goods at the same time," emphasizes Hilbrich. Particularly robust because they are rustproof, they are available with either galvanized or stainless steel housings.

Many companies from OWL regularly purchase conveyor technology from Torwegge. The long-established company from Bielefeld thus makes a significant contribution to the development of the region. "For us, the FMB is not an event where we just want to do business. We also look forward to talking to representatives of other companies from OWL and exchanging ideas," says Hilbrich.
