Standard parts for large toolmaking
Standard parts supplier Strack Norma will be showcasing its range of solutions for large toolmaking at Blechexpo from November 5 to 8 in Nuremberg.
The focus is on the standardized and patented PowerMax standard slide series for worldwide use in large-scale toolmaking, especially in the automotive industry. The premium series also includes the PowerMax 2.0 standard slide, which is up to 30 percent shorter, and the PowerMax light as a cost-effective alternative for product series that run in small quantities or small batches. In 2017, it was also supplemented by the PMON hold-down slide, which Strack Norma designed with the driver in the upper part of the tool specifically at the customer's request.
A selection of guide elements will also be on show, which have been supplemented by variants with a sintered metal sliding layer (SNS). The SNS makes the elements in tool and mold making more resistant and improves their service life. In addition to flat guide rails, prismatic guides and sliding guide bushes made of sintered metal as well as special solutions are now also part of the standard range.
