The standard parts specialist Ganter offers a comprehensive portfolio of edge protection profiles to soften and round off edges and prevent injuries on flaps, doors, openings and sheet metal edges of all kinds. Ganter edge protection sealing profiles equipped with an additional sealing profile provide protection and sealing at the same time. With the appropriate contact pressure, they offer protection against splash water, dust and steam while at the same time reducing noise emissions. Depending on the application, the edge protection sealing profiles can be installed either on cut or curved workpiece edges, and the position of the sealing profile can be selected by shape, either on top or on the side. The edge protection sealing profiles are made of UL-compliant EPDM or NBR, whereby the NBR material is particularly suitable for applications with force or lubricant contact.

Ganter has now expanded its range to include the GN 2181 edge protection sealing profile corners with prefabricated 90° corners to enable right-angled sealing profiles without the usual minimum installation radius. This eliminates the need to manually "cut free" the profile, as the corner joint is sealed and permanently connected by vulcanization. The edge protection sealing profile corners can be ordered with different leg lengths and can be shortened as required or extended with the corresponding GN 2180 profile.

To ensure consistent tightness, the profiles are installed with oversize "compressed". This means that the joints are sealed and do not need to be glued.

As a special service, Ganter supplies all edge protection sealing profile corners from a quantity of one, which is particularly beneficial for special solutions or applications with small quantities. Ganter also produces edge protection sealing profile segments on request, e.g. in a U or Z shape. Round or rectangular edge protection sealing profile frames, vulcanized closed to measure, are also available to meet the customer's requirements in terms of size and shape.
