The collapsible cores are positive-locking, mechanically confirmed mold cores that are ideally suited for single or multiple tools. The collapsible cores are used for the effective demolding of undercuts, for example threads or ring grooves.

According to Strack Norma, they enable up to 30 percent faster cycle times and therefore a more economically effective injection molding process. Thanks to their compact design, they are easy to install in the mold, with the demolding function being controlled by the mold movement. In addition, the DLC-coated center core ensures high resistance and durability.

Compared to complex gear and slide systems, the use of collapsible cores simplifies the mold design. The segments of the collapsible cores are actuated evenly, ensuring a high level of process reliability.
