Nowadays, CAM systems can do much more than just generate NC programs. The digital twin of the machining situation in the software opens up new possibilities for optimization, such as with hyperMill Best Fit, a component alignment for the further machining of cast, welded or additively manufactured components. Bidirectional communication with the machine control system via hyperMill Virtual Machining enables simulations based on real NC and machine data. The digitalization of processes also covers the path from CAD to CAM data. CAM programming can be increasingly automated, as Open Mind proves with the hyperMill Automation Center.

Open Mind also presented the improvements in the hyperMill 2023 release. The new "General transformation pattern" function, for example, promises time savings when machining recurring geometries. Thanks to the use of virtual machining technology, the new machining strategy of reverse countersinking also achieves maximum convenience and safety.
