Torwegge welcomes two new trainees

Two new apprentices have started their careers at Torwegge. Despite a turbulent year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the intralogistics specialist from Bielefeld is continuing to promote young talent as planned.

The two recent school leavers are starting apprenticeships in wholesale and foreign trade management and as warehouse logistics specialists. "Promoting young talent is the basis for a vital company. For years, we have been committed to training our skilled workers of tomorrow ourselves and introducing them to exciting and future-oriented professional fields," says Uwe Eschment, Managing Director at Torwegge. With the two new entrants, the company currently employs six trainees. "Especially because of the coronavirus pandemic, it is important to give young people career prospects. And the breath of fresh air is also good for us every year," says Eschment.

In their three-year apprenticeships as wholesale and foreign trade clerks and warehouse logistics specialists, the two trainees Kevin Petzold and Darius Görke pass through various departments and get to know the areas of work that are relevant to them. As both professions are in demand in many sectors, the apprenticeships offer excellent prospects for the future. There are also numerous opportunities for further training. However, Torwegge hopes to take on the trainees himself: "The young specialists are then already integrated into the company and know their colleagues, processes and dynamics. That's what makes them so valuable to us," explains Eschment.

The intralogistics specialist also plans to offer training next year and is already calling on interested parties to apply for the warehouse logistics or wholesale and foreign trade management apprenticeships starting in 2021. as
