Torwegge at the Logimat
Torsten gets his own stand
Torwegge will be represented twice at Logimat for the first time this year. The two divisions Intralogistics Systems and Components each have their own stand.
At Stand B39 in Hall 10, Torwegge Intralogistics will be presenting the development study of the Torsten automated guided vehicle system: logistics scenarios will be shown in which several AGVs cooperate: for example, the Torsten, which won the IFOY Award last year, and a Torsten equipped with a roller conveyor, which picks up a crate from a roller conveyor and transports it along an exemplary route.
The modular design of the Torsten can be extended with other conveyor technology components such as roller or belt conveyors. The transport system meets the increased energy requirements due to powered superstructures with its integrated, inductive charging system, which enables charging cycles during operation. In addition, a new safety concept enables the transportation of heavy loads: wheeled load carriers can be towed using an underride AGV so that the entire weight of the load carrier does not have to be lifted.
Opposite, on stand B43, the company will be showcasing its range of wheels and castors, idlers and conveyor technology components.
"Our two business areas, intralogistics and components, generally attract a similar level of interest at Logimat. To do justice to this, we are now giving both segments their own space," says Uwe Eschment, CEO of Torwegge. Previously, intralogistics systems were often more the focus of trade fair appearances. as
