Accumulation conveyor

Better than a chain

The heart of the new AFSG-APM accumulation conveyor from Tünkers is now the toothed belt drive instead of the central chain. It is maintenance-free, operates quietly and is largely compatible with the proven AFS technology, according to the manufacturer.

Tünkers has replaced the chain with a toothed belt in the unchanged robust basic design of the accumulation conveyor. As with the chain conveyor, the toothing of the belt is used for the friction clutch. Fitting and changing the belt is simpler, as it is no longer necessary to dismantle the machine. The service life of the belt is identical to that of the chain version. Tünkers summarizes the advantages of the belt drive: There is no chain elongation, a chain tensioner is not required, there is more safety for the worker, there is less maintenance work, lubrication is no longer required and the devices work more quietly. pb
