Purchasing optimization for rolling bearing technology
Best choice thanks to pre-classification
With the ABEG method, Findling Wälzlager has created a transparent and calculable decision-making basis for avoiding oversizing and undersizing of rolling bearings. This purchasing optimization helps customers to always select the technically and economically optimal product from the extensive Findling range.
ABEG stands for Advanced Bearing Expert Group. "Advice based on this method is our unique selling point," explains Klaus Findling, Managing Director of Findling Wälzlager. "With our calculation tool for bearing service life, we optimize our customers' rolling and plain bearing procurement so that they only pay for what they really need in the end." The method uses three calculation methods to help users in all industries achieve optimum cost efficiency:
Always the right performance class
Down-sizing can be used to determine the smallest possible bearing for the required service life. This enables potential savings of eight to 15 percent. With cost sizing, the rolling bearing type from the most cost-effective performance class is always selected for a given adjacent construction. This enables potential savings of 20 to 30 percent. With up-sizing, technical improvements can be generated and costs saved at the same time. This even enables potential savings of up to 35 percent.
Useful pre-classification
The result of the ABEG analysis is a recommendation for one of the four performance classes Premium, Supra, Eco and Easyroll. This classification matrix provides a clear overview of Findling's diverse and extremely varied range of rolling bearing technology in terms of performance. The advantage for the customer is obvious: instead of having to deal with the question of the actual service life of a product, which is almost impossible for users to determine, they can use the pre-classification according to ABEG. This takes into account design-related load rating differences as well as manufacturing methods, raw materials and components such as greases.
ABEG-Quickfinder software finds the best selection
"When advising users, we use our ABEG Quickfinder software to calculate the service life," says Klaus Findling, explaining the procedure. "This allows us to arrive at a technically and economically optimal bearing selection in no time at all and avoid over- or undersizing. The calculation program clearly shows several possible alternatives in the results window: all potentially suitable bearings are displayed in color. This enables a quick and accurate selection of roller or plain bearings across all industries, which is always financially worthwhile."
