Axle and portal construction kit
New sizes for the gantry robot
Axle and gantry construction kit expanded. The gantry robots from Fibro Läpple can handle up to 3,000 kilograms. The modular system is now available in additional sizes.
Fibro Läpple Technology (FLT) from Haßmersheim has added additional sizes to its modular axis and gantry system introduced in 2017. The modular design of the gantry robots enables the economical implementation of customer-specific solutions for loading and unloading machines or machining centers, for parts transfer and for transporting devices and tools.
The modular system consists of linear gantry robots (LGR), area gantry robots (AGR) and cantilever gantry robots (AGC), each in six sizes. Floor axes (LFA), horizontal axes (LHA) and vertical axes (LVA) as well as newly developed telescopic axes (LVA-T) complete the system. Depending on customer requirements, the modular system can be used to optimize systems for particularly heavy loads, long travel distances or confined spaces, for example. Within each size, the systems have three load classes: Dynamic, Balanced and Efficient. Depending on the stroke and load, the maximum speed is 4.5 meters per second with an acceleration of six meters per square second; vertically, two meters per second are achieved at four meters per square second.
The gantry robots are designed for handling weights of up to 3,000 kilograms and enable travel distances of over 100 meters in a horizontal direction and three meters in a vertical direction. "FLT's modular axis and gantry system is designed for durability, precision, ease of maintenance, flexibility, process and energy efficiency," explains Boris Bind, Head of Mechanical Design & Development. "Systems built from the modular system can be adapted to changing requirements and new processes at any time. This means that our customers benefit from a high level of investment security."
Standardized telescopic axle for low hall heights
FLT has developed telescopic axes made of aluminum and steel especially for use in low hall heights. Telescopic axes each consist of two axes and are designed for gantry robot sizes three to five. In sizes four and five, both axes run inside each other; in size three, the telescope sits on the outside of the axis. The two axes are coupled via toothed belts and are driven by a rack and pinion drive. Vertical strokes of up to three meters are possible in the standard version.
With the modular system, FLT aims to strengthen its position as a system partner for customer-specific automation solutions. "In addition to applications with portal technology, we also implement applications with industrial robots. The aim is to deliver the most efficient and economical solution for the respective requirements of our customers," says Alexander Schön, Team Leader Modular Gantry Systems and Processing Cells. as
