The FTX215, the fourth and final size in Exlar's FTX actuator series, is now available. Forces of up to 178 kilonewtons can be achieved. The flexible motor mounting concept increases availability and reduces costs.
The electric linear actuators with roller screw drive from the FTX series are specially designed for applications with high forces and high loads. Thanks to the roller screw drive, these actuators are not only compact but also reliable and durable, according to the manufacturer. The guided and sealed piston rod also allows use in harsh environments.
The FTX series now covers a force range of up to 178 kilonewtons, speeds of up to 1,500 millimetres per second and stroke lengths of up to 900 millimetres. According to the company, it is an alternative to hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. as
