Linear guides
Innovations for double the service life
With the DH/DS series, NSK will be presenting linear guides at EMO that achieve twice the service life of the previous range.
This is due to several design innovations, mainly a special material and a special heat treatment. The linear guides impress with their high rigidity and suitability for high speeds. Due to its power density, the DH/DS series facilitates downsizing because it allows the user to use smaller linear guides with the same performance. The series utilizes NSK's proprietary "TF Tough" heat treatment, which controls the amount of retained austenite in the steel to extend fatigue life. The benefit of this is evident when contamination presses into the raceway surface; the contour of the dent is softer and results in less stress.
