Clean Line cylinder series
Acts hygienically flawless
Aventics is expanding its range of actuators for applications with special hygiene requirements with cylinder series that comply with ISO standards. The pneumatics specialists thus also meet the strict requirements of the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Both the standard cylinder CCL-IS according to ISO 15552 and the compact cylinder CCL-IC according to ISO 21287 comply with the principles of hygienic design: the cylinder bodies are made of anodized aluminium, the screws and piston rod are made of stainless steel. The material of the wipers and the lubricants are approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The CCL-IS model is available in eight sizes and covers diameters from 25 to 125 millimetres. The maximum stroke is 2,750 millimeters. Users can select elastic or pneumatic damping depending on their requirements. The ST6 series proximity sensors can be installed in just a few steps and without special tools. The ST6 sensor series includes a wide range of versions with different cable lengths and connections.
A special feature of this cylinder series is the option of configuring the air connections on the top and bottom sides as usual or on one side only. Supply and exhaust air on one side increases flexibility for designers, especially as the connections can also be changed at a later date. The unused air connections are secured with screw plugs. With nine sizes, the CCL-IC compact cylinder covers the largest range available on the market, from a diameter of 16 to 100 millimetres. This gives designers a greater degree of freedom, as they can exert both lower and higher forces. The maximum stroke of the compact cylinder is 500 millimetres and is detected by a specially adapted proximity sensor from the ST6 family. The CCL-IC can be mounted directly without additional fastening elements. Users can configure the Clean Line cylinders online using the engineering tools from Aventics. pb
