Factories are becoming ever smarter. This requires intelligent components and smart machines. Actuators and sensors must supply data in real time at every system-relevant point. Lapp has a comprehensive portfolio for all applications and protocol standards in industrial communication - from a single source and with manufacturing expertise: from the sensor, actuator and control level to the enterprise resource planning system, the global market leader for integrated solutions in the field of cable and connection technology implements complete networking for the reliable transmission of the highest data volumes. Lapp has several new data transmission systems in its portfolio specifically for Ethernet technology.

The high-transmission four- or eight-pair Ethernet cable (Cat. 7A) is suitable for structured building cabling within LAN networks and all Ethernet applications (IEEE 802.3) up to 10GBase-T. It is used to transmit analog and digital signals in the frequency range up to 1000 megahertz. Pair shielding with aluminum composite foil and copper braiding provide ideal protection against electromagnetic interference and also serve as mechanical reinforcement.

This robust, oil-resistant industrial Ethernet cable (Cat. 7) was specially developed for the USA. It is the first of its kind with PLTC classification according to UL and can therefore be laid open on cable trays. Thanks to the high-speed transmission rates of up to ten Gbit per second and the ideal shielding, it can be used universally in fixed installations at machine interfaces for data and signal transmission applications. The outer sheath is made of a special PVC, making the cable resistant to acids and alkalis.

This data cable is suitable for fixed installation in the Profinet network (type A): The UL-certified Ethernet cable (Cat. 6A) can be quickly assembled thanks to its fast-connect design with a separating cross between the wire pairs. To protect against electromagnetic interference, the cable has a double overall shielding made of aluminum-laminated foil and a copper braid shield with a high degree of coverage. The Cat.6A performance guarantees transmission rates of up to ten Gbit per second in the frequency range up to 600 megahertz. The cable is UL-certified for the North American market. It can be used in a variety of ways, depending on the jacket material. Three variants are available.

It was developed for flexible use in Profinet networks (type C): The UL-certified Ethernet cable (Cat. 6A) can be assembled particularly quickly thanks to its fast-connect design with a separating cross between the wire pairs and also impresses with its excellent EMC properties. It is suitable for industrial secondary and tertiary cabling in accordance with EN 50173-3 ISO/IEC 24702 for machine, device and control cabinet cabling. The cable is available with a robust PVC outer sheath or halogen-free FRNC outer sheath.

The Etherline PN Cat.6A FD FC for highly flexible drag chain use in the Profinet network (type C) is particularly tough: The UL-certified Ethernet cable (Cat. 6A) can be quickly assembled thanks to its fast-connect design with a separating cross between the wire pairs and has the best EMC properties thanks to its double overall shielding. It is available with a robust PVC outer jacket or abrasion-resistant PUR outer jacket and has been tested in the Lapp test center for over one million alternating bending cycles in the drag chain. pb
