One cable, new sizes
In the area of cabling, cost pressure and miniaturization of end devices - in conjunction with increasing data volumes and high transmission speeds - are calling for new solutions for greater efficiency.
The cabling of the power supply and control of motors and servo drives is exemplary. The Conec Supercon series is a compact hybrid connector system that combines and transmits power supply and data transmission via a specially developed hybrid cable. This single-cable technology corresponds to modern connection and interface wiring technology.
Conec is supplementing the existing sizes B12 and B17 with overmolded flanges and connectors in size B23. While the number of poles and the permitted rated voltages vary depending on the size, the 360-degree shielded data core is always the same and designed for Industrial Ethernet Cat 5 with strand cross-section AWG22. It is locked with a bayonet quick-release fastener, so there is no need to use a torque wrench to tighten the screws. A quarter turn creates a secure connection and IP67 protection. The bayonet can only be locked when the hybrid connectors are fully mated. as
