Kuka cooperates with Hyundai Heavy Industries

Hyundai Heavy Industries and Kuka enter into a strategic partnership. Ki-sun Chung, Senior Vice President of Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings, Dr. Till Reuter, CEO of Kuka, and Stefan Lampa, CEO of Kuka Industries, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The MOU aims to establish a strategic partnership between the two companies, including joint marketing efforts. To promote the partnership, a strategic framework agreement was signed between the Robotics Division of Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings (Hyundai Robotics) and Kuka Robotics Korea, the local subsidiary of Kuka.

As part of the partnership, Hyundai Robotics intends to expand its product portfolio, particularly with regard to new technologies and products, small robots, human-robot collaboration (HRC) and mobility solutions, as well as to expand its business with existing and newly acquired Korean customers. "We will strengthen our customer focus in Korea through Hyundai Robotics as a strategic sales and marketing partner and expand the Korean customer portfolio," explained Stefan Lampa. as
