Automatica 2025
Robotics and automation at the trade fair
Keba will be presenting its flexible and open robot and automation solutions at Automatica. This year, the Linz-based full-service provider for industrial automation is placing particular emphasis on customized solutions.
Visitors to the Keba trade fair stand can design individual automation solutions together with the Keba team of experts. Similar to putting together a burger, the components from the Kemro X product and service portfolio can be combined in a variety of ways to create holistic solutions. Thanks to the open interfaces, third-party components can also be integrated into Kemro X - the platform for industrial automation - as additional "ingredients".
The many possible combinations and the flexibility of the platform are the biggest advantages of Kemro X. Customers can put together their automation solutions as they wish from the portfolio and refine them with their own "ingredients". Alternatively, they can ask Keba experts to recommend a customized solution - similar to a chef's recommendation.
High-end technology for robotics
KeMotion is the powerful technology module of the Kemro X automation platform. The robotics solution from Keba consists of a robot controller, operator terminals, software, drive technology and safety technology, in accordance with current standards and directives.
Artificial intelligence has long been more than just a future trend - it is already an integral part of industrial practice. At Automatica in Munich, Keba Industrial Automation will be demonstrating how artificial intelligence is used in industry in a practical way. It will show how AI can be seamlessly integrated into control processes - for example in the real-time detection and tracking of objects or in the processing and evaluation of voice commands. The Keba AI Development Kit, which has been specially developed for industrial applications, will also be presented. This kit enables the simple integration of AI into existing automation systems and is tailored to the requirements of the industrial environment.
New paths in robotics and automation
When Cognibotics - known as a deep-tech company in robotics - meets automation and robotics specialist Keba, a new approach to the development of industrial robots and automation solutions is created: flexible, open and future-oriented. The open robotics platform KeMotion is used in high-end products such as the HKM-1800 robot from Cognibotics - a convincing example of the openness and flexibility of Keba technology.
This year, Cognibotics will be co-exhibiting at the Keba stand with Juliet&Romeo® - a new solution for programming robots and automation systems. This innovation represents a strategic advance for companies that want to increase their flexibility, reduce downtime and shorten their time-to-market.
Juliet&Romeo features an intuitive design that enables both experienced engineers and newcomers to create, modify and optimize robotics and automation processes faster than ever before. It sets new standards in programming: accelerated commissioning, smoother processes, easier code reusability and an outstanding user experience. Juliet&Romeo finally brings IT (information technology) into OT (operational technology).
At the joint Keba and Cognibotics stand, visitors can experience Juliet&Romeo live in action - and find out how advanced robotics and intelligent automation are accessible to everyone today: from first-time entry to specialist expertise.
Keba Industrial Automation focuses on holistic solutions, digitalization and artificial intelligence. The versatile product portfolio is expressed in Kemro X - the open and flexible platform for industrial automation. The Kemro X live demonstration clearly shows how these technologies can be used in practice. The hardware and software components from the Kemro X product and service portfolio can be combined easily and in a variety of ways. Using the example of an end-of-line solution from packaging technology, Keba presents products and technologies for systems, robotics and mechanical engineering - in the combination of real application and digital twin. The AE 550 AI module enables the use of AI algorithms in the Kemro X system. It integrates AI directly into existing control systems, for example for object recognition, which can then be used in PLC or robot control systems for object handling.
The interactive delta robot from autonox demonstrates outstanding flexibility. The digital simulation of a multi-robot system (four robots on one controller) optimizes the material flow. The robotics solution offers machine manufacturers high performance, comprehensive simulation capabilities and up to 15% more machine output compared to standard solutions.
Simple operation with drag&bot
Another highlight is the live demonstration of drag&bot. This intuitive robot operation enables machine and system manufacturers to seamlessly integrate standard industrial robots into existing user interfaces. This means that systems can later be operated and converted independently without the need for people with special robotics expertise. In addition, drag&bot supports the interfaces of all standard industrial robots on the market, which ensures maximum compatibility and simple integration.
In addition to the safe encoder box for Hyperface encoders, the safe encoder box for EnDat 2.2 is now also available. The safety-certified encoder box enables the evaluation of six safe encoders simultaneously - ideal for flexible machine and robot systems. Communication with the robot controller takes place via the FSoE safety protocol. This opens Keba up even further to a wide range of safe robotics solutions. The extension to EnDat 2.2 now also enables safe robotics solutions for open-arm robots from Comau. Both solutions create more flexibility in robotics projects and help to reduce wiring effort, complexity and costs.
