The machining sector is also growing in India - high-performance precision tools are in demand. The Indian tool manufacturer Accusharp relies on a high level of manufacturing expertise and has a CC800 HiPIMS from Cemecon in operation.
With this system, Accusharp can increase the performance of its tools and open up new markets. The Pune-based company manufactures special cutting tools made of HSS and carbide for a wide range of industries, including the automotive, mechanical engineering, textile, energy and steel industries.
The HiPIMS coatings significantly improve the performance of the tools. The tool life increases by around 50 to 80 percent, depending on the application. HiPIMS technology offers advantages in terms of precision, especially for hard materials that are difficult to machine. The installation of the turnkey HiPIMS coating line was also convincing - despite the adverse circumstances prevailing worldwide in the fall of 2021. Cemecon used every opportunity to support Accusharp to the best of its ability.
