"AMB is a firm fixture in the industry's diaries. This is also shown by the high demand for exhibition space at AMB 2020," explains Gunnar Mey, Head of the Industry Department at Messe Stuttgart. There is no question that the 20th AMB, which will take place at Messe Stuttgart from September 15 to 19, 2020, will once again be fully booked and the entire exhibition grounds will be occupied.
But what has made AMB so attractive for exhibitors and visitors over the years? Four companies that were already there in 1982 report on their connection to AMB.
Lothar Horn, Managing Director of Paul Horn GmbH, sees a special connection to AMB: "We have close ties with AMB and have grown steadily together. In 1982, we were still a small Swabian company exhibiting at AMB, today we present ourselves as the world market leader for precision tools. For us, AMB is like our own living room to welcome our customers and clearly sets the standard for what we want to show in terms of new products and innovations".

AMB is clearly the centerpiece of the machine tool industry and the ideal meeting place for the sector in southern Germany, reports Holger Hehl, Area Sales Manager at Chiron-Werke, adding: "This is where all the world market leaders present their innovations and where we have the platform to show customers and interested parties machining in detail.
Werner Gerstner, Sales Manager at Carl Zeiss AG, attended the very first AMB in 1982 and is still convinced by the trade fair concept today. "AMB has always set the tone and has witnessed and contributed to many technological changes. All important topics are covered here, and exhibitors show what solutions they have in their portfolios, for example for e-mobility, Industry 4.0 or the Internet of Things."
Antonio Bottazzo, Sales Manager of Fritz Studer AG, a company of the United Grinding Group, can only confirm the development from a national trade fair to an international exhibition for metalworking: "AMB has developed consistently over the years and now attracts trade visitors from all over the world to Stuttgart".
Companies that submitted their application by the deadline of June 30, 2019 will receive initial placement proposals from fall 2019. Interested companies that did not register by the deadline can only be placed on the waiting list for the time being due to the high demand.
