Handling
Move loads flexibly
Slewing jib cranes are an economical solution for a wide range of handling tasks. Whether in incoming or outgoing goods, in production, assembly or testing - slewing jib cranes offer the possibility of ergonomic transportation of goods. Slewing jib cranes are often wrongly regarded as a compromise solution compared to gantries. However, in contrast to gantry cranes, they are particularly suitable for performing tasks in a confined space.
Flexible use
The flexibility of a slewing jib crane can be demonstrated very well using the following application as an example. The column-mounted slewing jib crane is to be used at various locations to handle sacks. The special feature is that the various workstations are not only located in different rooms, but also on different floors, which is why it is mounted on a mobile ezzLINKmobil base plate that can be moved with a pallet truck or forklift. The crane is fully equipped with a handling system, power supply with CEE plug 400 Volt 16 Ampere, ready for operation at any desired location. The column is height-adjustable for driving through doors and underneath pipes and cable trays. It also has a split jib for transportation in a goods elevator.
Large workspace
Both in the standard version as a wall-mounted and pillar-mounted slewing jib crane, with its own pillar or mounted on an existing pillar in the building, slewing jib cranes are the ideal solution for defined workstations and can be flexibly integrated. With reaches from the pillar of up to 8 meters, which creates a working area of up to 16 meters, even large working areas can be covered. Columns are not desirable in a confined working environment or with forklift traffic. Jib cranes can therefore also be suspended from the ceiling. The movement of slewing jib cranes always consists of two components: Slewing the jib requires a higher operating force than moving the trolley along the jib. To facilitate operation, especially slewing, aluminum jibs are preferable. The accelerated mass during slewing is around 50 percent compared to steel booms.
Depending on which goods need to be moved, there are different types of lifting equipment: chain hoists, cable hoists, cable balancers or vacuum lifters. Accordingly, a wide variety of goods such as sacks, boxes, crates, buckets and much more can be moved. Thanks to its flexibility, the slewing jib crane is an efficient and ergonomic helper. Best Handling Technology offers a complete system with lifting aid and slewing jib crane.
