Top-hat rail module EE 121-1 from the S-Dias series
For condition monitoring and predictive maintenance
Sigmatek presents the EE 121-1 from the S-Dias series. The compact DIN rail module can be used to record energy, power and phase angle (Cos φ) directly on the machine. The module supports the user with predictive maintenance and can also be used for cost monitoring.
The voltages of the three input phases (L1, L2 and L3) are measured and up to 12 currents are also recorded, which can be assigned to the phases as required. Both the voltage and current inputs offer 16-bit resolution. The measuring range of the UL/CSA-certified module is zero to 520 volts AC and zero to two amps AC.
Predictive maintenance can be implemented
In addition to currents and voltage phase sequence, the EE 121-1 can also be used to measure and monitor phase angle and frequency. It enables the calculation of Ueff and Ieff of each channel as well as the energy consumption since the first activation. The module can also detect brief mains interruptions or a phase failure and reports the zero crossing for the application.
Mains synchronization is also possible with the S-Dias module. A timestamp functionality is provided for the voltage zero crossings. This allows the time offset of the voltage zero crossings of two voltage grids to be determined when using several energy recording modules.
