VISION 2020
World's leading trade fair for machine vision cannot take place in 2020
After exhibitors at the Vision machine vision trade fair announced their withdrawal from participation, Messe Stuttgart announced that the exhibition will not take place this year.
Messe Stuttgart has been in intensive contact with the exhibitors at VISION over the past few weeks. "In the discussions held, it became clear that VISION cannot be realized in the usual quality this year, particularly due to the high level of internationality in combination with the ongoing travel restrictions," reports Florian Niethammer, Project Manager of VISION. "In close cooperation with our exhibitors, who have withdrawn their participation in the trade fair, and our conceptual sponsor, VDMA Machine Vision, we have therefore informed all those involved in the trade fair today that VISION, the world's leading trade fair for machine vision, will not take place this year," adds Niethammer.
A survey has also been launched in order to respond even more closely to the needs of the industry and derive suitable measures. "It is important to us to find out more about the effects on exhibitors and visitors and their business as a result of the discontinuation of VISION, which is why we are specifically seeking feedback and asking them to actively help shape the event," explains Niethammer. The aim for the team is to develop meaningful formats from the results of the survey and to be able to announce the date of the next VISION in a timely manner.
