Hannover Messe 2024
Transformation of the industry towards sustainable production
This year, the Hannover Messe is focusing on a number of different areas. However, they all point to one goal: the transformation of industry towards sustainable production.
Hannover Messe has always set milestones for further technological development - Industry 4.0 is just one keyword. Hannover Messe 2024 will also address important new technology trends. The focus here is on the transformation of industry towards more efficient production - both in terms of future competitiveness, scarce skilled workers and resource consumption as well as energy use. Of course, all of this is connected, and this also applies to the development of technology. Key innovations are coming from areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence and renewable energies such as hydrogen.
Norway stands for clean energy
The latter is also reflected in the choice of this year's partner country for the trade fair - Norway. This is because the country and its companies have been placing a special focus on clean energy for many years. To this end, exhibitors will demonstrate Norway's ambitions for a low-carbon society and its key role in developing the solutions needed to transform industry and move towards greater climate protection. These include CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage), hydrogen, battery technology, AI and machine learning.
AI and robotics pave the way
Although artificial intelligence has been around for many years, it has become increasingly important in recent years thanks to powerful computers. In industry, this is making itself felt in almost all areas - be it in data analysis, robotics or image processing, to name just a few examples. AI is giving digitalization a new boost that is making itself felt along the entire production chain. Among other things, this plays a role in robotics and enables increasingly autonomous units and processes. AI and robotics are therefore making a significant contribution to greater efficiency. Virtualization of hardware and digital twins complement these trends.
In addition to these and other important topics, the Hannover Messe offers a broad supporting program with events, conferences and awards, as it does every year. The most important awards include the Hermes Award, the H2Eco Award and the Startup Award. The Femworx career congress is also an important platform at the Hannover Messe with networking and discussion events.
