Timken completes acquisition of Rollon Group
Timken Company, a provider of advanced bearings and power transmission products, announced that it has completed its recently announced acquisition of Rollon Group.
Specializing in the development and manufacture of linear guides, telescopic rails and linear axes, Rollon serves numerous industrial sectors, for example in the market segments of passenger rail vehicles, aerospace, packaging technology, logistics, medical technology and automation.
Headquartered near Milan, Italy, Rollon operates production sites there as well as in Germany and the USA. The company employs around 600 people and has a global engineering and sales network that ensures close contact with its global customer base.
The Timken Company designs, manufactures and markets bearings, gears, automated lubrication systems, belts, chains, couplings, and linear motion components, and provides extensive rebuild and repair services for power transmission and driveline applications. The product and service portfolio includes industrial brands such as Timken, Fafnir, Philadelphia Gear, Groeneveld, Rollon and Cone Drive. The company generated sales of 3 billion US dollars in 2017 and has more than 17,000 employees in 33 countries.
