New appointments to the Executive Board
Technotrans: Hendirk Niestert expands Management Board
The Supervisory Board of technotrans AG today decided to appoint a new member to the Board of Management. Henry Brickenkamp, a member of the Board of Management of technotrans AG since 2006 and its Spokesman since 2008, had previously informed the Supervisory Board that he would not be renewing his contract, which expires in the middle of the year, and would like to pursue a new professional challenge.

With effect from February 1, 2018, the Supervisory Board of technotrans AG has appointed Hendirk Niestert (42) as a further member of the Board of Management. The qualified mechatronics engineer began his career in technology at an American subsidiary of Grimme Landmaschinenfabrik.
He joined technotrans in 2007, first as Service Manager and then as Head of a Business Unit. In 2011, he took over as Head of Service worldwide within the Group. Mr. Niestert will primarily be responsible for sales and service as well as quality management.
In view of the departure of Dr. Christof Soest (CTO) at the turn of the year 2017/2018, the Supervisory Board also decided today to appoint Dr. Andreas J. Schmid (50) to the Management Board as Dr. Soest's successor with effect from February 1, 2018. He has many years of professional experience in the capital goods industry, mechanical and plant engineering and control technology. Most recently, Dr. Schmid was Managing Director (CTO/COO) of Schaltbau GmbH in Munich.
The Schaltbau Group, an international subgroup of Schaltbau Holding AG, is a leading supplier of electromechanical components and systems for transportation, automotive, capital goods and industrial applications. With annual sales of EUR 150 million and 900 employees, this segment makes a sustained positive contribution to earnings with its double-digit EBIT margins. After completing his apprenticeship as a telecommunications electronics technician and studying physics, the electrical engineering graduate began his career in the development department of a global electronics group. In recent years, his activities have focused on corporate development and product strategy, the development of new technologies and markets as well as the establishment and expansion of development and production sites.Dr. Schmid will be responsible for development, controls, business units, production, purchasing and logistics in the future.
Niestert and Schmid will join the current members of the Executive Board Henry Brickenkamp as Spokesman of the Executive Board, whose Executive Board mandate will end in June 2018 at his own request, and Chief Financial Officer Dirk Engel. kp
