VDMA takes over sponsorship of Intec

With the aim of strengthening Intec for the industry, Europe's largest mechanical and plant engineering association VDMA e.V. and Leipziger Messe are now moving even closer together. Together with the Precision Tools Association and the Measuring and Testing Technology Association, the VDMA will become the new conceptual and technical sponsor of Intec.

In future, this will not only involve conceptual work on the trade fair's advisory board, but will also officially seal the intensive technical and strategic exchange. "We are very pleased to announce the new sponsorship of the VDMA Precision Tools Association and the Association for Measuring and Testing Technology. The cooperation has continuously intensified over the past few years. A particular highlight was our joint implementation of the FORUM.interactive at Intec 2025. The intensification of the cooperation creates significant added value for both sides and is an expression of our long-term partnership," explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. Markus Heseding, Managing Director of the VDMA trade associations, adds: "INTEC is an important platform for exchange and innovation in metalworking with an impact far beyond national borders - especially in Poland and the Czech Republic. We are therefore very pleased that the long-standing, successful cooperation with Leipziger Messe has now been given a new quality through an ideal sponsorship. We are happy to contribute our expertise and skills, are highly motivated and look forward to working together."

Advantages for the industry

The extensive networking of the two trade associations will benefit the development of Intec even more effectively in future. As part of its national and international activities, the VDMA trade associations will be involved in the planning, preparation and implementation of exhibitor and trade visitor acquisition. The exchange on a conceptual and technical level also includes the technical and supporting program and will contribute significantly to the further development of the content of the trade fair duo Intec and the supplier fair. VDMA members can also benefit from this - for example at the VDMA joint stand at Intec from March 2 to 5, 2027 in Leipzig.
