Formnext 2024: Call for Speakers launched

Following the successful premiere of the multistage concept last year, Formnext is continuing its lecture program in 2024. This year, applications, technologies and trends in the AM and manufacturing industry will once again be discussed on three stages. The main topics are artificial intelligence, robotics and automation. The call for speakers is open.

The multistage lecture program is open to all trade fair visitors and thus promotes the exchange of technologies and application knowledge within the industrial manufacturing sector. After all, discovering the latest technological developments, expanding specialist knowledge, networking and exchanging experiences are the most important goals of trade fair visitors. In addition to the exhibitors' presentations and networking events, specialist lectures are always confirmed as the most interesting trade fair activity. "This is another reason why this concept has proven successful, and we want to help additive manufacturing establish itself in many more fields of application by further expanding and sharpening our range of topics," explains Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President Formnext at the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt.

For visitors, the various stages with presentations and panel discussions by industry experts provide an insight and overview of the most important topics in the AM industry. This ranges from exciting applications from various user industries from medicine to aerospace and the construction industry. In addition, new technologies will be presented at the trade fair and important topics such as sustainability, skills shortages and financing will be discussed at the same time.

Applications from various industries

The Application Stage presents exciting and forward-looking examples from various industries in thematic blocks with presentations on industry-related applications. These range from mechanical and plant engineering, the automotive industry, aerospace, electrical engineering and the packaging industry to tool and mold making, automation and robotics. One focus will be on applications from the medical and dental sectors.

At the Industry Stage, industry experts and industry insiders will discuss current, influential topics such as sustainability and the industrialization of AM. These and other key topics will be presented in a keynote speech, explored in greater depth in "Expert Insights" and discussed further in a "Panel Discussion". Additional Industry Stage topics include AI and the industrial metaverse, DfAM (Design for AM), business cases, start-ups and funding as well as current meta-topics such as data management and security, emerging technologies, skills shortages and supply chain resilience.

The innovations and solutions of Formnext exhibitors will be presented on the Technology Stage. New products from the fields of software and digitalization solutions, materials, AM systems, advanced process systems, quality management and measurement technology as well as services will be presented on all days of the trade fair.

The Call for Speakers is open. Proposals for contributions can be submitted by 30.06.2024 at the latest via the Call for Speakers form. This and further information on the lecture program can be found at formnext.com/callforspeakers.
