Rutronik and Minew conclude worldwide distribution agreement
Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente and the Chinese manufacturer of Bluetooth technologies Shenzhen Minew Technologies have concluded a worldwide distribution agreement.
The Bluetooth specialist was founded in 2007 and counts Google, Here, Huawei and Alibaba among its IoT customers. The agreement covers Minew's entire product range.
With the new partner's products, Rutronik can add further segments to its portfolio. Thanks to a large selection of beacons and ePapers for price and product information, including a gateway, the distributor now also offers solutions for retailers, stores, supermarkets, airports, museums and many other consumer-oriented facilities with Minew's products.
In addition, the company is expanding the existing module selection in its portfolio of Bluetooth 5.1-based modules with integrated antennas or IPEX antenna plugs with interesting and cost-effective variants.
"Minew works closely with our semiconductor partners, so we already know the modules, beacons, ePapers and gateways very well. Minew has already built up a good reputation and high profile in the Asian region, particularly for beacons and price tags. As all products are also approved for Europe and America, we want to help Minew to expand its global reputation," says Bernd Hantsche, Director Product Marketing Embedded & Wireless at Rutronik.
Johnson Zhang, Global Sales and Marketing Director Minew, adds: "The Rutronik Asia headquarters is located in Shenzhen, just like us, which facilitates cooperation and communication for regional projects. We are optimistic that Rutronik will be able to apply its expertise as a Nordic Semiconductor distributor to our Nordic-based modules, which are powered by the same proven radio stacks from Norway, but already include all RF circuitry and certifications."
