Order of Merit of Baden-Württemberg for Andreas Lapp
A great honor for Andreas Lapp: at the end of April, Lapp's CEO was awarded the Order of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg by Baden-Württemberg's Minister President Winfried Kretschmann.
The Minister President justified the award for Andreas Lapp as follows: "Andreas Lapp and his company have been setting international industry standards for a long time and are pioneers in cable technology. Increasing digitalization in particular is a challenge to look increasingly to the future and to identify and serve new needs. Mr. Lapp and his company are particularly innovative in this area. With their products, they not only connect the world, but also people."
The Minister President also emphasized that Andreas Lapp has also been a bridge builder for international understanding for many years: As Honorary Consul of the Republic of India for Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate, he has initiated countless cultural and economic projects and thus created numerous connections between the countries and cultures. The fact that Baden-Württemberg entered into a partnership with the state of Maharashtra in India in 2015 is also to his credit. According to Kretschmann, it is good to see time and again that economic success on a global level can go hand in hand with a special commitment to one's own employees. Only when both components are in harmony do companies and their employees increase the importance of their business location. Andreas Lapp: "The Order of Merit is a great honor - not just for me, but for all Lapp employees. It is an award for the trust that our customers place in us. Without the trust of our customers and the commitment of our employees, we would not be as successful as we are."
The Order of Merit is the highest award of the state of Baden-Württemberg. It is awarded by the Minister President for outstanding services to the state of Baden-Württemberg, particularly in the political, social, cultural and economic fields. The Order of Merit is usually awarded once a year as part of a ceremony.
