From May 31 to June 3, Nortec invites you to network in Hamburg and shows in two halls which technologies and skills make SMEs fit for the future.

The event is aimed at northern German manufacturing technology experts. The focus is on the latest processes, measures and services relating to the industrial production of goods, precursor or intermediate products and individual parts.

Bernd Aufderheide, Chairman of the Management Board of Hamburg Messe und Congress, promises: "Creativity arises from intensive dialog - and this is exactly what Nortec offers participants. The advantages of a regional trade fair are clear: here you have short distances, can make direct use of the appointments made in advance of the trade fair and take a look around to see which new companies have joined. In addition, trade visitors can take part in round table discussions, visit the Speakers Corner or use the four-day conference program to build up individual know-how."

Further training for exhibitors and trade visitors

The Nortec Auditorium, the VDMA Nortec Workshop, the round table discussions and the Solutions Hamburg lounge invite visitors to gather information and engage in personal discussions. And there is even more to find out - for example in the Enterprise Europe Network's European consultation hours. The number of registrations for smaller dialog formats six weeks before the start of Nortec is higher than in 2020.

Exhibitor specials include the joint stand Electronics Manufacturing, Hansesupplier and the Start-up Area.the joint stand Electronics Manufacturing brings together several companies that present their specific capabilities. These include, for example, PCB manufacturers, device manufacturers, suppliers of electronic components and EMS service providers. Owner-managed companies from northern Germany are participating in the Hansesupplier stand. The management level will be on site to present their respective areas of contract manufacturing for the manufacturing industry. The focus is on high-tech manufacturing, with nine young companies inviting visitors to the start-up area: large-format 3D printing and digital solutions - including for predictive maintenance, artificial intelligence applications (AI) and robot solutions for small and medium-sized companies.

Conferences and lectures

On the first day of the trade fair, Hamburg's Senator for Economic Affairs Michael Westhagemann, patron of Nortec, will open the lecture series in the auditorium with an industry talk. The Managing Director of VDMA Nord, Dr. Jörg Mutschler, the Managing Director of Hein & Oetting GmbH, Lars Reeder, the Managing Director of the start-up Orderspot, Denis Westermeier, and the Managing Director of Wache GmbH, Bettina Wache-Möhle, will shed light on the status quo of production from a variety of perspectives. They will discuss the challenges of the past and the opportunities of the future.
