Norelem: Tennis meets technology
This year, Norelem is supporting the MercedesCup 2018 as an official partner. The internationally renowned tennis tournament takes place right in the company's neighborhood - it attracts international tennis greats to Stuttgart every year and is one of the sporting highlights in Baden-Württemberg.
The MercedesCup, which takes place in Stuttgart from June 9-17, 2018, is one of the most traditional and important tennis tournaments in Germany - it is already in its 102nd edition in 2018. The tournament, which was held on clay for a long time, has been played on grass since 2015 and has gained enormously in importance as an important part of the "Road to Wimbledon" thanks to this change.
"We sponsor the MercedesCup because of our connection to the Stuttgart region and the companies based here. Creativity and dynamism are not only relevant for success in tennis, but also in business," says Marcus Schneck, Managing Director of norelem. "We are delighted to support a local event with a very international field of players. This certainly has parallels to the norelem company: we are connected to our home country and at the same time open to the world."
The range of players at this year's tournament is particularly exciting - alongside top stars such as Roger Federer, young talents such as Chung Hyeon will also be demonstrating their skills. norelem has also been active in promoting talent for years - including with the norelem Academy. As part of this program for the promotion of young talent, training courses and workshops are offered for budding technicians and engineers. kp
