Opening of EMO 2025 in Hanover

The grand opening of EMO 2025 will take place on September 22, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the H'Up at the Hannover Exhibition Center.

Around 1,600 companies from 45 countries will be showcasing their technical innovations at the world's leading trade fair for production technology from September 22 to 26. The focus is on machines, solutions and services for metalworking. They are used in all sectors of industry, including mechanical engineering, vehicle and aircraft construction, the electrical and electronics industry and medical technology, where they ensure productivity progress and competitiveness. With their products, the exhibitors at EMO 2025 are driving the modernization of industry. The focus is on automation, sustainability, digitalization and artificial intelligence in production. For the first time, EMO has also proclaimed a partner country with the Alliance Country Canada@EMO2025.

At the invitation of EMO Commissioner General Carl Martin Welcker, the following will speak at the EMO opening ceremony

  • For federal politics: Gitta Connemann, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy
  • For state politics: Olaf Lies, Minister President of the State of Lower Saxony
  • For the industry: Stephen Albrecht, Member of the Board of Directors of Liebherr-International AG
  • For the Alliance Country Canada@EMO2025: Evelyne Coulombe, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. - Embassy of Canada in Germany
  • For EMO: Francois Duval, President of the European Machine Tool Builders' Association Cecimo, owner of the EMO brand
