Dr. Marc Wucherer succeeds Christian Wendler
On 1 January 2025, Dr. Marc Wucherer will take over as CEO of Lenze from Christian Wendler, who is retiring at the end of the year.
The Supervisory Board has appointed Dr. Marc Wucherer as the new CEO of Lenze with effect from 1 January 2025. The 54-year-old succeeds Christian Wendler (62), who is retiring at the end of the year after ten years at the helm and eleven years on the Executive Board.
During his time as CEO, Wendler set a decisive course for the future. Under his leadership, the Group became increasingly internationalized, the customer perspective was firmly anchored in the company and the positioning of the company as a leading automation specialist was decisively advanced.
His successor, Dr. Marc Wucherer, comes from the industry and has extensive international management experience, particularly in the USA and China. From 2022, he was CEO of the medium-sized fan and drive manufacturer Ziehl-Abegg. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Executive Board of drive and control system provider Bosch Rexroth with responsibility for global sales and later also for the factory automation business. Wucherer began his professional career at Siemens in 1996. He held various specialist and management positions there, including in sales in Germany and China. Wucherer studied general electrical engineering at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, part-time business administration at the University of Hagen and completed his doctorate at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Chemnitz University of Technology.
