Klaus Endress leaves the Board of Directors at the end of the year

There will be changes at the top of the Endress+Hauser Group at the beginning of 2024: Dr. h. c. Klaus Endress will, as long announced, step down as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He will be succeeded by CEO Matthias Altendorf. The new head of the Group will be Dr. Peter Selders, who currently heads the competence center for level and pressure measurement technology. Steven Endress, previously Managing Director of Endress+Hauser UK, will succeed him as the family's second representative on the Board of Directors.

Klaus Endress (born in 1948) has been shaping the development of Endress+Hauser for almost 45 years. He joined the company founded by his father in 1979 and took over the management of the Group from him in 1995. In 2014, he handed over operational responsibility to Matthias Altendorf and became Chairman of the Board of Directors. Much of the company still bears his signature today.

Matthias Altendorf is to become the new Chairman of the Board of Directors on January 1, 2024. From the shareholders' point of view, he is the right person for this position, says Klaus Endress: "He has known our company for 35 years. He has managed the group of companies with prudence and success for almost a decade. In addition, Mr. Altendorf embodies the Endress+Hauser culture in an exemplary manner and stands for the values that define our company." Steven Endress will join the Board of Directors as the second representative of the family alongside Sandra Genge on January 1, 2024. The 44-year-old grandson of the company founder has worked at Endress+Hauser since 2012 and has been Managing Director in the UK since 2016.
