The industrial trade fair started today, Monday, much smaller than in pre-corona times, but still well attended.

Shortly after the halls open at 9 a.m., the first presence event after the coronavirus crisis is well attended. 2500 exhibitors have come to Laatzen this year; significantly fewer than in previous years. As a result, only half of the exhibition grounds are occupied and many of the otherwise well-attended halls are closed. Areas in some halls are also cordoned off. However, where there is something to see, visitor numbers are good.

The host country Portugal, with its strong industry, is also clearly visible. 200 Portuguese companies are on site; official delegations are chauffeured around the grounds and there are also many Portuguese among the visitors.

INDUSTRIAL Production will report on the event in the next few days.
