Five steps to the perfect application

June 28 is the submission deadline for the prestigious handling award. The following five tips will help you to enter successfully.

1. choose the right product

The most important decision is made right at the beginning. The right product is crucial. It is essential that it is a market-ready product that is currently operational. Concepts do not count. If this is the case, customer benefits and innovation are what count. Even a product that seems less complex at first glance, such as an automatic hook, can be successful if it offers customer benefits and innovation.

2. select the right categories

Each submission falls into one of the four categories:

  1. Handling and assembly
  2. Robotics
  3. Electrical automation
  4. Warehousing, order picking and intralogistics

It is crucial that the product brings real benefits in the chosen category. Strategic placements in other areas are therefore less promising.

3. one or more submissions

In principle, there is nothing wrong with submitting several products. However, the products should not be too similar.

4. careful selection of text and images

Several text fields must be filled in when submitting an entry. It is important that the jury and the organization can reach you in this way for queries, messages and invitations until the award ceremony. The texts in the text fields and the attached images have two functions: On the one hand, they serve to inform the jury for the evaluation, but on the other hand, the editorial team also uses these texts for the Reader's Choice Award presentation and for reporting online and in the magazine.

5. mobilize for the readers' prize

After the submission deadline, we prepare the submissions for the public readers' prize and put them online for voting a few days later. Then make your partners, customers and employees aware of the competition.
