In addition, Hahn+Kolb will continue to invest in the sustainable expansion of logistics and future-oriented digitalization in 2023 - the 125th year in the company's history.

New and existing customers are increasingly relying on Hahn+Kolb's own brands. Compared to the previous year, the tool service provider and system supplier once again recorded a growing share of its own brands ATORN, ORION, HK, AUTOSTAT, CLIP-OFLEX and OPT-I-STORE. The reasons for this are the high availability and quality of the products. The own-brand range is constantly being expanded and now includes more than 35,000 items at ATORN alone - from drilling, milling, turning, grinding and cutting tools as well as measuring equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) to workshop supplies and factory equipment. In 2022, the ATORN own brand also celebrated its 20th anniversary, which was accompanied by numerous anniversary offers and products.

As a result, the Hahn+Kolb Group was able to acquire new customers and thus market share, achieving a total turnover of EUR 373 million and employing around 900 people. Growth in Germany amounted to 14.5%.

Hahn+Kolb has relied on a robust partner network of mainly European suppliers for many years. With a total range of 120,000 items, the Hahn+Kolb Group is one of the world's leading tool service providers and system suppliers.

Companies from the mechanical engineering, automotive, metal,
electronics and energy sectors as well as in the food, transportation and logistics sectors benefit from 125 years of experience and the associated individual, international and cross-location customer support.

Growth and social commitment go hand in hand
At Hahn+Kolb, it is not only customers and employees who benefit from the company's success. For several years now, the workforce has refrained from giving gifts for achieving self-imposed sales targets. Instead, these are linked to donations for social institutions. Thanks to the dedicated commitment of the employees, four such milestones were reached last year and corresponding heartfelt and social projects were supported.

One of these close partnerships connects Hahn+Kolb with the Theo-Lorch workshops. In addition to financial support for the non-profit workshop, there are six integrated workplaces (BIA) at Hahn+Kolb's logistics center in Ludwigsburg.

Continued focus on sustainability

Hahn+Kolb is also focusing on increasing the sustainability of operational processes, products, logistics and transportation. This includes the expansion of digitalization as well as, for example, the cooperation with the PLANT-MY-TREE reforestation project launched in 2022, which has been committed to environmental and climate protection and the reduction ofCO2 in Germany since 2007. Since last year, Hahn+Kolb has been planting a tree in Weißbach in the Hohenlohe district of Baden-Württemberg for every workbench, workbench trolley or worktable sold under the HK brand with a solid beech worktop.

The business equipment sector is an important pillar for the company and has grown disproportionately. This cooperation will therefore continue in 2023. In logistics, there are also plans to invest in a photovoltaic system on the central warehouse building.

In addition to the existing solar installation on the administration building, it will further improve the company'sCO2 footprint.

Customers go along with digitization

Hahn+Kolb also increased the electronic share of sales once again through various digitalization projects. Leaner, faster and paperless processes not only reduce sources of error and speed up delivery processes for the benefit of customers, they also reduce the ecological footprint, conserve resources and raw materials and reduce energy consumption. More and more customers are now recognizing the added value of Hahn+Kolb's digital ordering and coordination processes, meaning that the company will continue to drive digitalization forward in its anniversary year.
