Supplier trade fairs for mechanical engineering
Easyfairs takes over FMB and FMB South from Clarion
With the FMB (Forum Maschinenbau) and FMB Süd from the British organizer Clarion, Easyfairs Germany will complement its portfolio for industrial trade fairs in the future.
With this takeover, which is effective immediately, the trade fair organizer is strategically supplementing and expanding its trade fair portfolio in the industrial sector.
First held in 2005, the FMB takes place annually in November in Bad Salzuflen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The FMB-Süd recently had its premiere in Augsburg. The trade fairs bring together key players and innovators in the value creation network of the mechanical and plant engineering industry at the two important industrial locations. In 2018, the two events together counted 750 exhibitors and 7,000 visitors.
The two trade fairs will be part of Easyfairs ' DACH portfolio. Roland Brand, Managing Director of Easyfairs Germany and Switzerland, emphasizes the strategic value of the acquisition: "FMB and FMB-Süd, which opens its doors at Messe Augsburg on 20 and 21 February, are a perfect addition to our existing portfolio of industrial trade fairs. These include Solids, Maintenance, Pumps & Valves, Empack and Logistics & Distribution. We will capitalize on the obvious synergies between our existing trade fairs and FMB and create added value for the industries in which we are present. As an international and fast-growing company, we have ambitious plans for the further development and expansion of our portfolio in Germany and Switzerland."
The FMB team will be integrated into Roland Brand's area of responsibility.
