Dr. Gereon Heinemann new member of the Management Board of SLM Solutions

The Supervisory Board of SLM Solutions Group AG has announced that Dr. Gereon Heinemann has been appointed to the company's Management Board with effect from August 1, 2018. As CTO, he will be responsible for the Supply Chain/Production, Research & Development, Program Management and Innovation Management/Intellectual Property departments and thus bears overall responsibility for the technological development of SLM Solutions.

In recent years, Dr. Heinemann has held management positions at various plant and mechanical engineering companies, most recently as CTO at Fritz Studer AG, a member of the Körber Group, and since March 2016 as CEO of Irpd AG, a joint venture between the United Grinding Group (Körber Group) and inspire AG/University of ETH Zurich. Irpd AG is a service provider in the field of additive manufacturing and conducts research for the Körber Group in the field of selective laser melting.

"We are very pleased that in Dr. Heinemann we have found a technically highly experienced successor for the position of Henner Schöneborn, who will be leaving the Management Board on June 30 this year, and we look forward to working with him," said Hans-Joachim Ihde, Chairman of the company's Supervisory Board. Henner Schöneborn, CTO until June 30, will continue to be available to the company as a consultant after his departure.
