Change in the Lapp Supervisory Board
Peter Schmid succeeds Werner Knies
With effect from June 1, 2021, Swiss entrepreneur and lawyer Peter Schmid (59) has been appointed to the Supervisory Board of Lapp Holding. He succeeds Werner Knies, who stepped down from the Supervisory Board.
"Mr. Schmid is an outstanding entrepreneur, lawyer and consultant. He has known Lapp for many years and will support us in setting the course for Lapp 's successful future. He will definitely be a great asset to our Supervisory Board," explains Siegbert E. Lapp, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Lapp Holding.
Peter Schmid has been a member of the Board of Directors of Lapp Tec in Diessenhofen since 2014. The Swiss subsidiary develops and produces sophisticated plastic solutions. As the owner of the law firm Schmid Rechtsanwälte in Zurich, Peter Schmid primarily advises family businesses on issues relating to corporate and contract law as well as capital market law. He also acts as an arbitrator in legal proceedings.
The Supervisory Board of Lapp Holding currently comprises three members: Siegbert E. Lapp is Chairman of the Supervisory Board, the other members are Dr. Hans Schumacher, former Chairman and Managing Director of Dürr Systems GmbH, and Peter Schmid.
