Beckhoff Automation takes over ADL Embedded Solutions
Beckhoff Automation takes over ADL Embedded Solutions GmbH, headquartered in Siegen, Germany, on April 1.
ADL is known as a specialist for "deep embedded" applications based on motherboards and specially adapted peripherals. The company develops customized and turnkey embedded solutions in cooperation with customers. These projects have been based on industrial motherboards from Beckhoff for many years.
This successful cooperation is now being consistently developed further in the takeover. "With ADL, a very successful embedded specialist becomes a member of the Beckhoff Group. Beckhoff has been developing and manufacturing motherboards and Industrial PCs for almost 30 years; ADL has many years of application experience. Together we are therefore an outstanding embedded partner for many applications," says Hans Beckhoff, Managing Director of Beckhoff Automation.
Martin Kristof, Managing Director of ADL, is also convinced of the synergy effect of even closer cooperation: "The integration of high-quality Beckhoff industrial motherboards has been the guarantee for the large number of successfully implemented customer projects for many years. With the takeover, we are now in a position to also realize development orders from globally active customers and to support our customers even better with customer-specific Industrial PCs." Under the management of Martin Kristof, the company will continue to operate at its current location in Siegen with currently twelve employees.
