Hiwin manufactures its own shaft gearboxes

Sometimes people wait months for an urgently needed shaft gearbox. This is why Offenburg-based drive specialist Hiwin has decided to produce its own space- and weight-saving reduction gear.

Shaft gearboxes with their high single-stage reduction ratios are used in many automation solutions. Wherever precise rotary and swivel movements are required. "As a system provider, we want to supply our customers with solutions that include the right drive. It was therefore clear to us that we also needed a shaft gearbox from Hiwin in order to be and remain able to deliver," explains Hiwin Managing Director Werner Mäurer.

Typical areas of use for the smart drives are highly dynamic tool changers, robot axes, dental milling machines and many other automation applications. With over 30 years of experience, Hiwin offers mechanical and electrical drive components that can be combined with each other, giving users a decisive advantage. Deliverable, fast, punctual and always reliable are attributes that the drive specialist relies on. In-house production in Offenburg, Baden-Württemberg, also guarantees short delivery times.
